CEO  Ermenegildo Zegna Group

An entrepreneur and manager, Ermenegildo Zegna has been CEO of the Group since 1997. This “family business” is among the world’s leading manufacturers and retailers of luxury men’s clothing. He is a member of the strategic committee and a director of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, and is on the Council for Relations between Italy and the United States and the International Board of IESE (Business School, University of Navarra, Spain). Since 2014 he has been on the board of directors of FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles). He graduated from London University with an economics degree in 1978 and, after working for Bloomingdale’s merchandising team in New York, he attended a management course at Harvard Business School in 1981.
From 1982 to 1985 he was president of the Ermenegildo Zegna Corporation, which controls the distribution of Zegna products in the USA and Canada. From 1986 to 1989 he was CEO of Italco S.A., which distributes Zegna products in Spain and includes two clothing production units. In 2011 he was awarded the Order of Merit for Labour by the President of the Italian Republic.
