2008 – Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale dell’Aereonautica Militare Italiana

Leonardo Career Prize Winners

The 313rd Aerobatic Training Group – known as the Tricolour Arrows – is the pride of the Italian Air Force and of Italy. The Lifetime Achievement Prize was awarded to Major Massimo Tammaro on behalf of the 313rd Aerobatic Training Group for the commitment, passion and constant dedication they have shown in performing aerobatics. The Tricolour Arrows, who are the heirs of the Italian aerobatic traditions of the 1930s, fly the largest formation in the world consisting of ten MB339 jets, the quintessentially Italian and highly agile trainer aircraft manufactured by Ditta Aermacchi from Varese and sold in seven countries around the world. The Tricolour Arrows take part in the major international aerobatic shows, thus raising awareness of the human, professional and technological values of the Italian Air Force and also of Italy.
